Spending time with horses is something I’ve always loved and cherished, and over the years I’ve learned that horses are very sensitive animals and quite astute in reading us. They pick up on our body language, our feelings and our energy, and at the same time can be very forgiving and non-judgmental. Horse are also adept at mirroring our emotions: If we’re calm they’re calm, if we’re stressed, they can mirror that stress and agitation.
As a recent recipient of an Equine Therapy Practitioner certification, I offer the opportunity to interact with our school horses in a safe and calm environment: Guiding clients through activities with horses that can help build trust, confidence and a sense of well-being.
